Set on the edge of the Nivolet plateau, the Savoia Hut may be reached, from Pont of Valsavarenche Valley, in two and a half hours or, by car, via Ceresole Reale (Piedmont region). The refuge is situated on the upper road N°4 and is a departure point for climbs and excursions. In July and August, the road of Nivolet is closed on Sundays.
