The lammergeyer museum in Rhêmes-Notre-Dame
The lammergeyer and Gran Paradiso National Park birds of prey. The history of a disappearance, an ambitious project, the return and, perhaps, a happy outcome for the largest bird of Europe. Around this central theme, are present information, images, sounds, multimedia games, to know lammergeyer and the ornithological fauna of Gran Paradiso National Park.

The lynx and Gran Paradiso National Park predators. Today, we can find only five predators in the Gran Paradiso National Park.

The museum has nine rooms which present visitors with various aspects of the natural environment of Aosta Valley: mineralogy and geology, climate and glaciology of Aosta Valley, bone collection from the Gran Paradiso National Park (ibexes), Aosta Valley’s flora and vegetation (woods, bushes, meadows, etc.), four typical environments of Aosta Valley, birds, large and small mammals, insects and various examples of all orders.
The Museum will be closed for renovation works in 2008.
